Introduction to Perioperative Point-of-Care Ultrasound Workshop

Two sessions: Friday, Aug. 2, 7-11:30 a.m. PT and 12:30-5 p.m. PST 

Point-of-Care ultrasound has been shown to facilitate vascular access, determine aspiration risk, confirm endotracheal tube placement, assess pulmonary function, and evaluate fluid-volume volume status. Through the AANA, a collaborative group of instructors coordinated by the Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia (MTSA) will provide a hybrid course that combines online modules with a hands-on workshop. 

Each workshop will have two parts:  

Part 1: 6 hours of online video learning prior to the in-person workshop (Additional CE available) 

Part 2: Hands-on workshop onsite, worth 4 Class A CE, using models to demonstrate and apply skills learned

Airway on Demand: Difficult Airway Workshop

Participants will engage in dynamic sessions focusing on practical applications. From deciphering the intricacies of difficult airway decision-making to hands-on demonstrations, attendees will have the opportunity to refine their skills and techniques. Through the AANA, this workshop promises an enriching experience, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application under the expert guidance of Dr. William Rosenblatt.
